One of the town of Groton's first settlements, the Jabez Smith House is a Colonial farmhouse offering an invaluable glimpse into 18th century domicile design. The house displays antique furnishings and original architecture from when it was constructed in the 1780s. Residing in the area of Groton's first settled sites, the house is east of New London along the southern tip of Smith Lake.
